Storms move in tonight, with flooding potential through Thursday

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Good morning and happy Tuesday folks. Storm activity is expected to ramp up through the overnight hours and lasting through Thursday. As of now, some of the storms both tonight and tomorrow could be on the strong side, with gusty winds and hail being the greatest threats out of any storm.

In addition, above average moisture levels will lead to the possibility of flash floods for Wednesday and Thursday. It's not likely every single storm will be strong enough to cause floods, but storms that move over the same areas repeatedly could be a concern. Anyone living in low lying and flood prone areas should be vigilant over the next few days.

Temperatures will be very warm today, with highs in the high 70s and low 80s. You also may feel some humidity today, which will aid in storm development over the next few days. Stay safe folks, and be weather aware with any storm over the next 3 days.
