Tracking a cool and dry early week

Partly cloudy, breezy, and seasonably cool conditions will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Monday evening. Low 60s early Monday evening will fall into the 40s and upper 30s late Monday night and early Tuesday morning, with clearing skies and northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph. Abundant sunshine will prevail on Tuesday, with afternoon highs warming into the mid 60s and continued northwest breezes at 10 to 20 mph. Clouds will increase on Wednesday as moisture streams back into the area with the return of southerly winds. Rain chances will be spotty on Wednesday afternoon, with a 20% to 30% chance of thundershowers and afternoon highs in the low 70s. Scattered rain and thunderstorm chances will continue into Thursday, along with above average temperatures as highs reach the low to mid 80s.
