Today will be mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of light showers this morning. Temperatures will be mild, with afternoon highs in the mid-60s. It will be a windy day, as southeast winds will pick up this afternoon at 15-25 mph, gusting up to 40 mph.

Scattered to widespread storms will develop late tonight and continue through the early hours of Wednesday morning. The primary hazards from any thunderstorms that develop include sizable hail and damaging wind gusts. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Rainfall totals are expected to range from 1 to 2 inches in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.

Tomorrow, skies will clear, and we will see partly cloudy conditions. Temperatures will remain on the warmer side, reaching the upper 60s.

Rain chances continue into the latter half of the week.
