A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas, ahead of chances for patchy freezing drizzle that could make for slick roads late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The Winter Weather Advisory includes the following Northwest Missouri counties from 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8: Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Clinton, DeKalb, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth. Doniphan county Kansas is also included in the Winter Weather Advisory.

Freezing drizzle could result in ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch. A light glaze of ice may cause hazardous travel conditions across the advisory area. The greatest impacts are most likely north of the Highway 36 corridor.

Slow down and use extra caution if traveling through the advisory period.
