Low Visibility Wednesday Night

By Meteorologist Jared Shelton

Dense fog is becoming widespread across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas tonight, with visibilities ranging from one quarter mile to near zero in the St. Joseph area as of 10 p.m.

A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for the entire region through noon Thursday, as fog is forecast to persist for the next 12 to 18 hours. Drivers should use extra caution, and allow for extra travel time as visibilities will make travel hazardous through Thursday afternoon.
