Patchy freezing rain could cause travel concerns

By Meteorologist Jared Shelton
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas from 9 p.m. Monday through noon Tuesday as patchy freezing rain could result in a glaze of ice on area roadways late Monday and early Tuesday morning.
Areas of dense fog are also expected to form, reducing visibility to a half mile or less in some cases.
Be sure to use extra caution when traveling as a combination of slippery roadways and low visibility could result in hazardous road conditions through Tuesday morning.
Ice concerns are expected to diminish as temperatures rise well above freezing by Tuesday afternoon.
