Training camp continued once again in the scorching heat on Monday, but Chiefs fans were committed to supporting their team.

If the team is able to achieve a third Super Bowl win in a row, the franchise will make history as the first Super Bowl-era team to accomplish this. It would mean the world to these fans.

“I would be able to say that the Chiefs are three in a row to all my Steelers friends,” Ric Cooper said. “Especially the Ravens fans … Those fans are brutal.”

Cooper was optimistic after watching training camp the last few days.

“The offense is looking so much better and the defense is looking pretty good,” Cooper said. “Just pray that everybody stays healthy.”

With the team’s recent success, the mindset heading into camp has shifted. Fans have much higher expectations even before seeing a first game.

“After watching the training today and just seeing how they have been performing just the last week, I am looking for a lot of that success to transfer for the first part of the season to be honest,” Chiefs fan Shabby Hasan said.

Hasan is not going to leave all the work to the players; he is willing to work for the trophy as well.

“Shoot, I would walk all the way to New Orleans,” Hasan said. “If they are in there, I don’t even care.”

Being a Chiefs fan for close to two decades, the success right now is special. But even for younger fans who have just started watching the Chiefs, a third Super Bowl win would mean a lot.

“I would just be really excited,” Ellis Babenka said. “Really happy.”
