Some Chiefs fans have cheered on the team since they were kids, while others have joined in amid the more recent success, but regardless of how long they’ve been supporters, they all show out at training camp.

“We struggled with the coaches and we didn’t agree with some of the things they did,” Chiefs fan Michele Boor said. “We stayed with the Chiefs because they are the Chiefs.”

The Chiefs have brought a lot of enjoyment over the years to Boor’s family. Outside of training camp, Boor and her husband, Steve, have made plenty of memories surrounding the Chiefs.

“Our family memories when we have our Super Bowl parties,” Michele Boor said. “We took our whole entire family one year to a Chiefs game for (a) Christmas present and it was just fantastic. When you think of the Chiefs, you think of family too.”

Other fans thought back on watching the Chiefs pre-Andy Reid.

“It was still exciting, but not near as exciting at the end of the season,” Brian Roberts said. “Everything was still awesome, but the end of the season is better now.”

A Chiefs fan since he was young, said he enjoys going to training camp with his son, Kingston. Six-year-old Kingston, growing up in the prime of the dynasty, said his favorite player was Patrick Mahomes.

Another fan who follows the Chiefs is from out of the area. Nine years ago, Carol Broadway moved to the area and has since become a Kansas City Fanatic.

“Moved here from Illinois from unfortunately losing teams,” Broadway said. “The Royals won the series (World Series) that year and that was the start of, ‘Oh wow, we are in a sports town.’ We have watched the Chiefs every year.”
