Missouri Western State University students can enjoy a day off on Wednesday, Feb. 14., after the school announced Sunday night that its campus will be closed due to the Chiefs victory parade.

“In recognition of the difficulties this will present to our students, faculty and staff who commute from Kansas City, and in appreciation for the hard work so many of you play in helping us host training camp each year, Missouri Western State University classes will be canceled and campus will be closed,” University President Elizabeth Kennedy said in the news release. “Celebrate the day safely and responsibly, and Go Chiefs!”

Students are advised to consult with individual professors on whether or not there will be a need to do any work online or attend a virtual session of class.
