“(My son) is liking learning about the Chiefs as a winning team,” Zach Beaman said. “He’s grown up in it and I’m glad he gets to grow up in a different era than I did. So he’s learned to love football through the Chiefs.”
It wasn’t just young children that spent time with KC Wolf. Evelyn Cook is 84 years old and said her fandom stretches across seven decades.
“I love the Chiefs,” Cook said. “All the way back to the ‘60s. I remember Len Dawson. We’re going to win.”
Having success like the Chiefs are in the middle of not only creates lifelong fans, but also inspires potential new football players.
The Chiefs’ success is not only great for lifelong fans, but it’s also inspiring for younger supporters.
“Isiah Pacheco is one of his favorite players as well as Patrick Mahomes,” Beaman said. “He’s learning every Sunday how to play more and more. He’s interested in starting to play on his own one day.”
