Central defeats Excelsior Springs 55-6 in News-Press Now’s Game of the Week.

It had been a rough last month of games for Central heading into Friday night, but on a night when the Indians had a chance to get back to .500, they took advantage.

Senior running back Gabe Fields had himself a game to remember. The Vanderbilt football commit scored eight touchdowns in the win, setting a new school record. Fields also tallied over 400 yards on the night.

Central will finish out the regular season at home next Friday against 1-7 Park Hill South.

Savannah defeats Maryville 42-14.

Benton falls to Cameron 43-8.

Mid-Buchanan defeats Penney 20-6.

DeKalb falls to South Nodaway/North Nodaway 60-7.

Lafayette falls to St. Pius X 74-0.

St. Joseph Christian defeats Princeton 74-20.

East Buchanan defeats Maysville/Winston 40-8.

Bishop LeBlond defeats Greenfield 66-36.

Riverside defeats Doniphan West 40-8.
