Bishop LeBlond falls to Archie 38-14

Both teams headed into Friday’s game undefeated, and both entered as top-tier teams in the 8-man ranks.

Just as LeBlond was looking to get on the scoreboard in the first quarter, Archie got a big fourth down stop on 4th and 1 to get the Whirlwind defense off the field.

Both teams would then trade blows following the stop by the Archie defense, as both scored touchdowns and converted on their respective two-point conversions to be tied 8-8.

Archie led the game 16-14 at halftime, and would assert its dominance in the second half with touchdown after touchdown. The Whirlwinds would score 22 unanswered points to finish out the game, with quarterback Tristan Leeper accounting for the games final three touchdowns, including an interception he took for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Central falls to Liberty 62-34.

Benton loses to Savannah 53-6.

Lafayette loses to Summit Christian 52-15.

St. Joseph Christian falls to Worth County/Northeast Nodaway 22-18.

DeKalb defeats Stewartsville/Osborn 52-14.

East Buchanan defeats Lathrop 63-19.

Mid-Buchanan defeats Lawson 34-6.

Riverside (KS) defeats Maur Hill (KS) 21-14.
