Lafayette defeats

Benton 22-0

Lafayette continues to dominate the all-time series against Benton, and it wasn’t particularly close. The Fighting Irish’s ability to do damage on the ground and through the air proved to be too much for the Cardinals to handle.

Lafayette led 14-0 at halftime and would be able to shut down the offense of the Cardinals the rest of the contest.

The win would mark the first time Lafayette has registered at least two wins in a season since 2021. Benton will play next Saturday on the road against University Academy, whereas Lafayette will look to build upon its win streak on the road at 1-2 Savannah.

Other Scores:

Central defeats Grandview 43-16

Mid-Buchanan defeats Centralia 41-6.

East Buchanan defeats Lawson 18-12.

Savannah falls to Kirksville 7-6.

DeKalb falls to South Holt 84-34.

St. Joseph Christian falls to Albany 42-20.
