Results from April 11–12 WOW High School Wood Bat Tournament

The Walkoff Wood Bat Company built on the success of its inaugural high school wood bat baseball tournament last year by expanding to a larger stage in 2025. This year’s edition drew 54 teams competing across seven local fields in St. Joseph and the surrounding areas.

The open-format tournament welcomed programs from across Missouri and neighboring states, including teams traveling from as far as South Dakota.

Below are the results from the tournament held April 11–12. Walkoff Wood Bat will return with another event April 18–19, featuring area schools such as Mid-Buchanan, Plattsburg, Cameron, East Buchanan, Maryville, Savannah, Benton, and Chillicothe.

Red Division:

Championship: Rock Port defeated Auburn (NE) 3-2 in 11 innings. 

Consolation Champion: Plattsmouth defeated Nodaway Valley 8-2.

Blue Division:

Championship: West Platte defeated St. Joseph Christian 6-2. 

Consolation Champion: Marceline defeated Wheatland 9-8.

White Division:

Championship: Platte County (C) defeated Bishop LeBlond 7-2. 

Consolation Champion: Benton (C) defeated Southwest Livingston.
