Rising river levels close St. Joseph Riverwalk Trail

Riverwalk Trail in St. Joseph has been shut down until further notice due to rising levels on the Missouri River.

City officials confirmed that the Riverwalk Trail between Remington Nature Center and Riverfront Park is now closed. Pedestrians are asked to stay off the trail as a safety precaution.

As of 9:35 a.m. on Friday, the Missouri River level in St. Joseph was at 19.59 feet. City officials are closely monitoring river levels in the area at this time.
