Several people were arrested Thursday morning at a St. Joseph residence after a three-month-long investigation involving several law enforcement agencies.

Six St. Joseph residents ranging in age from 30 to 58 years old were taken into custody after a search warrant was served by the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office/St. Joseph Police Department Special Response Team at a home on Castle Lane.

Officials said that during a search of the residence, more than one pound of methamphetamine was seized along with two handguns, $1,440.00 and a stolen motorcycle.

Those taken into custody include four men and two women. Three are being held on investigations related to the search warrant, two had county arrest warrants and one had a city arrest warrant, police said.

The investigation will be forwarded to the Buchanan County Prosecutor’s Office for review of criminal charges.

The Buchanan County Drug Strike Force, St. Joseph Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Missouri State Highway Patrol were involved in the investigation.
