Downtown St. Joseph will be packed this coming weekend with festivals, parties and even puppies. The community can look forward to celebrating pride and honoring those who serve in this week’s edition of See St. Joseph.

For those disappointed in the ending of Pride celebrations back in June, St. Joseph will be bringing the party back home for the annual St. Joe Pride Festival.

Come together for a weekend of community, love, acceptance and pride. There will be live music, drag shows, cabaret performances, snacks and vendors. There is no entrance fee, but attendees should bring some cash for souvenirs, vendors and various causes. Pride Fest goes from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Coleman Hawkins Park.

Just down the street, another St. Joseph staple will be returning this weekend. StroudStock 2024 is back to honor those who serve and protect our community.

The 4th annual StroudStock will honor and pay tribute to responders on 9/11 as well as those who serve back at home. This year, the event will be bigger and better than ever with a climbing wall, dunk tank, petting zoo, inflatables, live music and much more. The Dance Arts Center will be taking the stage as well to raise funds for their “Nutcracker” performance this December. StroudStock will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Civic Center Park.

While in Downtown for St. Joe Pride and StroudStock this weekend, St. Joseph residents will also have the opportunity to adopt a dog, cat or both.

Friends of the Animal Shelter has teamed up with StroudStock for its annual adoption event, “It’s Raining Cats and Dogs”. This is the shelter’s biggest adoption event of the year in their efforts to #ClearTheShelter. Dogs and puppies are $25, kittens are $10 and adult cats are free. The shelter will be at StroudStock from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday in Civic Center Park.
