Library looking for teens for advisory board

By Leah Rainwater
The St. Joseph Public Library is looking for teens who want to get involved in the community and also gain volunteer hours.
The Teen Advisory Board is open to students in sixth through 12th grades.
It’s all about giving teens of St. Joseph a voice about what goes on at the library, officials said. Teens on the board will be able to suggest new books, movies, graphic novels and more. They also get chances to plan events and programs.
Teens must be active in all meetings and go to some planned events.
The first meeting will be held from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Downtown Library, 927 Felix St.
Applications are available at any SJPL branch or online at the library’s website.
