From fun shopping events to quiet reading time with friends, there’s a variety of events going on in this week’s edition of See. St. Joseph.

The Castle Bridge Event Center has invited all queens in town to ditch their kings because this Friday is ladies night.

There’s going to be food, drinks and lots of shopping. Tickets for Queen’s Night at the Castle are $10 and come with a signature drink. The party goes from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday night. Guests must be over the age of 18. Or, if instead of strutting with the girls, you’d prefer to walk down the aisle, Castle Bridge is ready to help out with that as well with their Bridal Fair on Sunday. Grooms and brides are welcome to stroll and visit several wedding vendors to make their big day their best day. The fair runs from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

If you enjoy reading in silence but want some company, then Toe Beans’ Silent Book Club is the spot for you.

There are no assigned readings, so it’s BYOB — bring your own book. All readers are welcome, as long as they can respect the quiet hour. Young to old, come bring what you are currently reading or want to start, whether it be an audiobook with headphones, an e-book or a physical copy. The club begins at 2 p.m. Saturday at Toe Beans Coffee House with the full menu available until 3 p.m. and drinks until 4 p.m.

Saturday evening promises to be entertaining with the Drag Queen Bingo hosted by Bianca Bliss.

Join the First Christian Church at 6 p.m. for a few bingo games with lots of prizes and concessions. Bingo cards are $1 and go toward supporting St. Joe Pride, happening this summer.

The Rendezvous Bar has been a part of the St. Joseph community for decades, but it is saying goodbye to its current location, hosting a last hurrah Saturday.

The bar is not closing but relocating to another Downtown location, which will be announced at a later date. Staff and regulars will be ushering in the new and saying goodbye to the old at 7 p.m. Saturday Join bar staff and patrons to send off the old location with a bang at 7 p.m. Saturday. There will be live music provided by Monday’s Child, and best of all, no cover charge. All partiers must be at least 21 years of age and ready to rock the night away.
