U.S. 36 bridge construction taking place in Brown County

HIAWATHA, Kan. (News-Press NOW) -- Repairs are underway on a U.S. 36 bridge a half mile west of the U.S. 36/U.S. 73 intersection in Brown County, Kansas.

During construction, traffic will be condensed to one lane and there will be temporary traffic signals for the bridge. There will also be a 12-foot width restriction in place in the work zone.

Work will take place Mondays through Fridays during daylight hours and is expected to be completed by the end of May.
