A woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries Monday evening following an accident near Stewartsville, Missouri.

Rikki Allman, 36, of Osborn was slowing to make a left turn on Highway 36 at State Highway J at about 5:15 p.m. That’s when a vehicle driven by James Farr, 39, of Stewartsville, rear-ended her, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Allman’s SUV was pushed into the median, and Farr’s vehicle stopped at the edge of the road and then caught fire, the patrol report said. Allman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the report said.
