ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) — The St. Joseph Fire Department responded to a fire in the area of Sixth and Atchison streets Monday night.

A section of Sixth Street was blocked off as firefighters worked to put out the flames near the Rent-All Equipment building.

There were no injuries reported, according to SJFD Battalion Chief Dave Richey.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
