NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (News-Press NOW) A drug seizure from area law enforcement agencies resulted in three people being taken into custody and charged with possession.

According to a social media post by the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office, the agency, in cooperation with the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force and Maryville Police Department, completed a narcotics investigation this week.

As a result, three people whose names have not been released, were taken into custody and are being held in the Nodaway County Jail on charges including distribution of a controlled substance in a protected location, possession of a controlled substance and delivering a controlled substance.

Nodaway County Sheriff Austin Hann said he is “proud of the work deputies completed and cooperation with outside agencies to remove narcotics from the community.”
