Silver Alert canceled, Atchison woman found safe

UPDATE: The Atchison, Kansas Police Department has canceled the Silver Alert for a missing Atchison woman.
According to the Atchison Police Department at 10:07 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 77-year-old Janice Buttron was found safe.
The Atchison Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are asking for the public's help to find a missing Atchison, Kansas woman.
77-year-old Janice Buttron was last seen around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at her home near South 8th Street and Spruce Street in Atchison. It is believed that Buttron is traveling on foot.
Buttron is a white female who is five feet and three inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing jeans, a long-sleeved cream-colored shirt, smiley-face slippers, and glasses.
Buttron suffers from an impaired memory condition, if anyone sees her be sure to get in touch with 911 immediately.
