Maintenance work planned for I-229 next week

Interstate 229 through Buchanan County will see some maintenance next week.

The Missouri Department of Transportation’s Northwest District Office said that in Buchanan County, I-229 has planned bridge maintenance on the southbound ramp to Route 759.

The maintenance is scheduled to begin on Monday, Dec. 16, and according to MoDOT, the work should be complete by Thursday, Dec. 19.

According to officials from the Northwest District Office, “They will be doing work on the bridge girder ends. It should take place off the roadway and will have limited to no impact on traffic.”
