Kansas City woman seriously injured in Daviess County crash

A Kansas City, Missouri, woman suffered serious injuries in a Daviess County crash Thursday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 2 p.m. on Missouri Route 6, half a mile from Altamont.

The 58-year-old woman was driving an SUV west and crossed the center line. A 27-year-old Jamesport, Missouri, man driving a pickup in the opposite direction could not avoid her. The SUV flipped and came to a rest on its roof.

The Kansas City woman was taken to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries. The Jamesport man avoided harm.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol crash report.
