Buchanan County EMS shares deadline for EMT applications

The Buchanan County Emergency Medical Services reminded perspective Emergency Medical Technician students about the application deadline.
Buchanan County EMS is offering a 21-week EMT training course beginning Jan. 14, and shared the deadline reminder through social media on Monday afternoon.
The application and fee deadline for the EMT course is Midnight on Dec. 14.
The EMT course will hold evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m. or students can choose to attend day classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Noon to 4 p.m.
The cost of the EMT course is $1,700 with an additional $100 deposit, this fee includes a textbook with online course access and a Chromebook for the 21-week course.
The EMT course fee can be split into four payments of $425 with the first installment due on Jan. 14.
EMT students will be able to apply with the National Registry for the EMT Basic Level exams, which include a hands-on exam and a written exam, those who pass both exams will be able to apply for an EMT license with the State of Missouri or other states.

Once the application is submitted, applicants will receive an email with a link to pay the $100 deposit which is non-refundable for the first four weeks before the EMT course begins on Jan. 14.
Buchanan County EMS has office hours between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
