Drivers of one vehicle flee scene after two-vehicle crash

Police are investigating after one driver suffered minor to moderate injuries and the occupants of a second vehicle fled the scene of a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on the South Belt Highway.

The St. Joseph Police Department responded to the crash involving a pickup truck and an SUV near 1400 S. Belt Highway at about 11:30 a.m.

Sgt. Brian McClintick said two occupants in the SUV fled the scene on foot and officers are still investigating the cause of the accident.
