Two people were sent to the hospital after a one-car crash in Livingston County Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred just after 11:30 a.m. on Route V, three miles south of Chula, Missouri.

A 16-year-old Brookfield, Missouri, driver lost control around a curve and overcorrected three times, causing his car to flip and hit a pole.

He suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center. A 37-year-old Galt, Missouri, man traveling with him was seriously injured and flown to St. Luke’s in Kansas City.

According to the highway patrol crash report, neither was wearing a seat belt.
