Crime victims remembrance event set for Tuesday

The Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is inviting the public to honor victims during its annual memorial tree lighting event on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Attendees are being asked to meet inside the Buchanan County Courthouse for the memorial which begins at 5 p.m. with a short program at 5:15 p.m.

Attendees can place an ornament in memory of a loved one on the tree on the north side of the courthouse.

The prosecutor’s office will have cookies, cocoa and time to speak with individuals who have lost someone before the event ends at 6 p.m.
