Two men are hospitalized with serious injuries following a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning east of King City, Missouri.

The crash happened at 9:15 a.m. on Route Z in Gentry County as a 29-year-old man from Pattonsburg, Missouri, was driving west and sideswiped an eastbound semi driven by a 45-year-old man from Savannah, Missouri, as both were close to the center line, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The Pattonsburg man’s vehicle then crossed the center of the road and was struck by another eastbound semi driven by a 65-year-old man from Amazonia, Missouri. The Amazonia driver then went off the road, hit an embankment and overturned onto the driver’s side, the report said.

The Pattonsburg man was flown to Truman Medical Center with serious injuries, and the Amazonia man was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, also with serious injuries. Both were wearing seat belts, the report said.

No injuries were listed for the Savannah man.
