Two Missouri men suffered serious injuries after colliding with a semi Sunday morning.

The accident occurred at about 11:39 a.m. on Nov. 3 as an 18-year-old Oregon, Missouri, man drove his truck north on Interstate 29 near Mound City, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Troopers say the truck traveled off the road, struck the back of a stationary semi in the breakdown lane and flipped down an embankment.

The driver and a 19-year-old Plattsburg, Missouri, passenger suffered serious injuries.

The report said both were taken to Mosaic Life Care by ambulance and had seat belts on at the time of the crash.
