A Gallatin, Missouri, woman suffered serious injuries in a one-car accident on Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred about a mile from Winston at about 4:56 p.m. as 78-year-old Sylvia J. Berry drove eastbound on U.S. 69, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Her car traveled off the road, struck a street sign, hit the ground, went airborne, hit the ground again and flipped, the report said.

She was transported by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center, and later flown to Truman Medical Center.
