St. Joseph’s Youth Alliance Partners for Prevention is getting a boost in its efforts to fight drugs with a $625,000 federal grant.

The money from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy will help ongoing efforts to prevent youth substance use locally.

“We are proud to share this mission and effort to prevent youth substance use and protect the well-being of our community,” Julie Wiedmer, the Alliance’s substance use prevention director, said. “This grant will allow us to better collaborate with our community partners, by focusing our collective expertise and resources on this critical issue, we will ensure a positive impact on our youth and community.”
