Resurfacing will cause delays on Gene Field starting Saturday

Drivers who use Gene Field Road east of the Belt Highway should plan for delays for a few days beginning this weekend as the street gets an upgrade.

Herzog Contracting will resurface the road from North Belt Highway to Cece Circle from Saturday, Oct. 19 through Tuesday, Oct. 22. A pilot car will be in place so drivers can use the street. Still, people are asked to consider other ways to get where they need to go to avoid backups.
