Missouri Department of Corrections officials announced the September death of an inmate at the Maryville Treatment Center on Monday.

Cortney Kilgore was pronounced dead at Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville at 6:37 a.m. on Sept. 26, 2024, officials said in a release.

Kilgore, 46, was serving a five-year sentence for delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid from St. Charles County and entered the Department of Corrections system on Oct. 11, 2023. An autopsy is being conducted, officials said.
