Grand Avenue cleared after police investigation Tuesday

One person has been taken into custody after the St. Joseph Police Department blocked off several blocks along Grand Avenue on Tuesday as they investigated an incident.

Police told News-Press NOW on the scene that they were investigating after a shots fired call. They later confirmed that no one was injured in the incident, and that a suspect was taken into custody, but it was not immediately clear what they were taken in for.

In July, one person was shot in roughly the same area, near North 16th Street and Grand Avenue, and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
