Road work to impact major Maryville intersection

Drivers may need to plan a detour around a main route into Maryville, Missouri, next week.
Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will be replacing the traffic detection system at the intersection of Nodaway County U.S. Route 71, Business 71 and 282 Street in Maryville on Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 18.
North and southbound traffic on U.S. Route 71 will be down to one lane in each direction at the intersection from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those days. The median intersection between north and southbound U.S. Route 71 will be closed.
Motorists will not be able to make the following left-hand turns:
No access to/from northbound U.S. Route 71 and Business 71.
No access to/from southbound U.S. Route 71 and 282 Street.
