A local girl who had been missing since late last year has returned home.

Ally S. Scott ran away from her home in December, and the Country Club Police Department has been searching for her since. Last week officials reached out to media in hopes of bringing her home.

Country Club Police Chief Chris Black said Scott walked through her front door just after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

“It was a positive outcome to what could’ve been a bad situation,” Black said in a phone call with News-Press NOW.

Black said the Country Club Police Department would like to thank the community for helping to get Scott’s information out and for ensuring her safe return home.
