Marijuana products across Missouri recalled

By Jenna Wilson
A recall of marijuana products has been issued after it was improperly tracked.
The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation announced the recall of more than 2,600 cannabis products sold to statewide dispensaries and other facilities by C&C Manufacturing, LLC. The recalled products included flowers, ground flowers and pre-rolled joints in various packaging and strains.
According to regulators, the recalled products were not in compliance because they were tested at the unprocessed bud/flower stage rather than at the final marijuana product stage.
The DCR said those who purchased the recalled products should stop using them, and they should be discarded or returned to the dispensary where purchased. It also said returned products will not count towards a buyer’s purchase limit.
Officials at local dispensaries, including Sunny Daze in St. Joseph, said while the recall is having a statewide impact, there haven’t been any reports involving their products. However, they are staying on high alert.
“Everybody within the state of Missouri is being impacted by it depending on the products that they hold in stores,” said Kelan Harvey, manager at Sunny Daze. “Ours haven’t been significantly impacted and it’s definitely something that will get resolved.”
Despite the recall, no adverse reactions have been reported.
Those who believe they may have experienced an adverse reaction should seek immediate medical attention. Patients and consumers have been reminded that any adverse reaction should be reported to the Missouri Department of Health.
