Repair project will slow traffic on I-35

By NewsPress Now

Drivers on Interstate 35 will encounter delays in Clinton County beginning Monday, Aug. 12.

Concrete repairs will be done on sections of I-35, starting with the northbound lanes near Missouri Route 116 toward a mile north of Shoal Creek near the U.S. Route 69 intersection. During construction, the road will be narrowed to one lane, which is expected to cause delays.

Crews will switch to the southbound lanes once the north side is finished. The project should be completed by December. This project will only repair sections of the interstate, but a project to rehabilitate this portion is planned to begin in 2025.

All work is weather-permitting.
