One arrested in Wednesday shooting

St. Joseph police have arrested a man after a person was shot Wednesday afternoon near North 16th Street and Grand Avenue.

The shooting occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m. on July 24.

Officers arrived and found a male victim, Taylor Lanaman, 20, with gunshot wounds to both legs and in serious but stable condition, St. Joseph police Capt. Jeff Wilson said.

Later Wednesday, detectives served a search warrant at 415 Blake St. and took a 30-year-old male into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
