A woman received serious injuries when she fell out of a moving ATV Monday night on Route A in Mercer County.

The accident happened at about 8:40 p.m. three miles north of Modena, Missouri, when a passenger in a 2019 Polaris Ranger, Tammy Gant, 58, of Oak Grove, Missouri, was rolling up a window due to rain and inadvertently opened the passenger side door of the vehicle, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report.

Gant, who the report said was not wearing a safety device, fell into the road and was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital with serious injuries.
