A 33-year-old man suffered serious injuries after a UTV crash Thursday night in Livingston County.

Jesus Berumen, of Edgerton, Kansas, was a passenger in a UTV traveling on a county road 4 miles north of Hale, Missouri, when he failed to negotiate a turn, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports. Berumen, along with driver Justin Stuart, 24, were ejected from the vehicle.

The UTV came to rest on its side. Berumen was taken to Hedrick Medical Center of Chillicothe for serious injuries. Stuart was taken by private vehicle for minor injuries.

Neither were wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, according to reports.
