A 23-year-old man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning four miles south of King City, Missouri.

Lane J. Blackford, 23, of Macon, Missouri, and Dylan L. Morgan, 26, of Dekalb, Missouri, were both northbound on Missouri Route 31 when Blackford’s SUV collided with the back of Morgan’s semi-truck, which was slowing down to turn east on Route E, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Blackford was transported by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for serious injuries. Morgan was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

At the time of the crash, Blackford was wearing a seat belt and Morgan was not, the report stated.
