Head-on collision leaves two seriously injured

Two people were seriously injured in a crash Monday evening about a mile east of Lathrop, Missouri.

Preston E. Ferr, 18, of Faucett, Missouri, was westbound on Missouri Route 116 in a 2020 Dodge Ram when he attempted to pass another vehicle at about 5:15 p.m.

Ferr’s truck collided head-on with an eastbound 2013 Toyota RAV4 driven by Allison M. Hamm, 35, of Polo, Missouri, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Hamm and a 16-year-old passenger in Ferr’s vehicle were transported by ambulance to Liberty Hospital for serious injuries.

Hamm was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the 16-year-old was not, according to the report.
