The teens were eastbound on Liv 256 around 7:28 p.m. when the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe began sliding on the gravel, resulting in the vehicle traveling off the road and overturning, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The 16-year-old driver was ejected from the Tahoe and life-flighted to Children’s Mercy for serious injuries.
