St. Joseph man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

A St. Joseph man has serious injuries after being ejected from a motorcycle Wednesday near Winthrop, Missouri.

Jeremy R. Thompson, 53, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 59 on a 1982 Harley Davidson at about 6:50 p.m. when he crossed the center line and began to skid.

Thompson traveled into the path of a westbound 2019 Ford F-350 driven by Bodie L. Vandeloo, 22, of Lancaster, Kansas, and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Thompson was transported to Mosaic Life Care for serious injuries, Vandeloo was uninjured.

Thompson had a helmet on and Vandeloo was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the report said.
