No injuries in school bus collision with street sweeper

A St. Joseph School District school bus collided with a city street-sweeping vehicle at the intersection of Noyes Boulevard and Faraon Street on Thursday morning.

The St. Joseph Police Department confirmed a school bus rear-ended a city street-sweeping vehicle that was stopped at the intersection around 8:30 a.m.

The school bus was occupied by two adults but no children at the time of the crash. Two adults in the school bus were uninjured, as was the driver of the street-sweeping vehicle.

Traffic on Noyes Boulevard near Faraon Street was impacted for nearly an hour as many northbound vehicles had to divert off side roads to navigate around the crash.

A large tow truck with Randy’s Repair was on the scene to tow the school bus.
