A boil advisory for about 9,200 St. Joseph customers has been lifted.

Missouri American Water officials said Thursday morning that water is now safe to drink without taking precautionary measures. The boil advisory was issued Tuesday after a contractor hit a water main, causing low-pressure issues.

Several schools and some civic facilities had been impacted by the boil advisory.
